TIPS FOR CHOOSING A TABLECLOTH

1/ HOW TO CHOOSE THE SIZE OF YOUR TABLECLOTH?

All our tablecloths are 170 cm // 67″ inches wide. We just have to find the right length.

IF YOU KNOW THE DIMENSIONS OF YOUR TABLE:

Measure the length of your table. To this measurement, add 50 cm // 20″ inches for the overhang on each side of the table.

  • For example, if your table is 200 cm // 79″ inches long, your calculation will be: 200 + 50 = 250 cm // 79″+20″ = 98” inches.

With this result you can choose a tablecloth in the predefined sizes. Here you will prefer a tablecloth of 170 x 250 cm // 67″x98? inches. These sizes don’t suit you? Go for the made-to-measure! It’s the same calculation to find the ideal size, we add the measurement ourselves to make the hems.

IF YOU DON’T KNOW THE DIMENSIONS OF YOUR TABLE:

Don’t panic, with a little imagination there are always solutions. Visualise your table (is it square, rectangular, round, oval…?) and count how many guests can sit around the table. The number of place settings corresponds to the size of the table and therefore to the size of the tablecloth: 60 cm // 24? inches for each person.

  • 4 to 6 place settings, square or round table: 170 x 170 cm // 67?x67? inches
  • 6 to 8 place settings, rectangular or oval table: 170 x 250 cm // 67″x98? inches
  • 8 to 10 place settings, rectangular or oval table: 170 x 300 cm tablecloth.

OUR EXTRA TIPS:

  • Measure the length of your table with the table extension if you have this particular type of table.
  • For round tables, use a square tablecloth, as it will look more elegant!

2/ WHICH FABRIC TO CHOOSE?

  • The 100% cotton is easy to care for. This type of tablecloth can be used every day.
  • Cotton/linen is heavier and thicker than a tablecloth made of 100% cotton.
  • The coating, 100% woven cotton on which 3 layers of acrylic coating are applied, making the fabric stain-proof and waterproof! Very easy to clean, the coating is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use: a spilt glass of wine, the sauce from the roast dinner, the ketchup being spilt by the youngest child… don’t worry, just sponge it off and it’s gone!

Moutet weaves 100% natural materials. The dyeing of the yarns is carried out in the Béarn region, in South-West of France, in accordance with traditional, social and environmental standards.
